Commenting on the single, ‘Broken’, ARREN said, “During the pandemic, my mental health suffered greatly—like so many others. Broken is one of the songs that helped save me. To be honest, if I hadn’t been able to channel my thoughts into my music, I don’t know if I’d be here today. I can’t wait to share 'Broken' with everyone, and if it helps even one person feel less alone in their struggles, then I’ve achieved what I set out to do with this song."

ARREN Drops Hilarious Music Video for 'Broken' - A Treadmill-Powered Metaphor for Life Itself.
While 'Broken' delivers a powerful message of solidarity, the music video reminds us it's okay to laugh at life's messes.
‘Broken' Music Video was created by Moloney Media.
Dublin, 21st May – Emerging Irish pop-rock artist ARREN has released the music video for his latest single 'Broken', and it’s a hilariously literal take on pushing through adversity — all performed on a treadmill, no less.
Set against a green screen, the video features ARREN walking (and occasionally stumbling) on a treadmill while singing, completely unfazed by the increasingly ridiculous visuals and interruptions thrown his way. From pool noodles to chocolate sauce, nothing knocks him off stride — a comedic yet poignant metaphor for life’s constant challenges and the sheer willpower it takes to keep moving.
While the track itself leans into emotional vulnerability, the video doesn’t take itself too seriously. Created by Moloney Media, the music video plays with the contrast between ARREN’s heartfelt delivery and the absurdist visuals, creating a tongue-in-cheek performance piece that’s equal parts art and punchline.
“It’s about resilience, yes,” ARREN says, “but also about laughing at how messy and unpredictable that journey really is.”
'Broken' is now streaming on all major platforms, with the video live on YouTube. It’s an anthem for anyone who’s ever felt like the universe won’t stop testing them — but still keeps showing up anyway, treadmill be damned.
